It was designed by Ryosuke Rukusada, and it features pivoting cylindrical LED housings. These housings were crafted to look like Japanese hishakus, which is a tool for scooping water. This lighting system blends tradition, innovation, and function into a single compelling design statement that can adapt to any space it adorns.

Started in 1996, Axolight is an Italian lighting company that designs and produces high-end contemporary lighting products. Each piece is handmade in Scorzè, Venice, Italy whether standard or a custom, bespoke piece. In 2018, Axolight launched its first sustainable product made of recycled nylon, glass fiber and aluminum.
